Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Elixa (the "App"), an iOS application that provides AI-powered image tools — background removal, image enhancement, photo restoration, and object removal. We follow data-minimization and transparency principles.
2. Information We Process
2.1 Images You Upload
To provide the AI features, you choose to upload photos from your device. These images are:
- Transmitted to our backend server, which forwards them to our AI processing provider, fal.ai (and the underlying open-source models it hosts), solely to perform the requested edit.
- Not used to train machine-learning models, and not used for advertising or any secondary purpose.
- Deleted immediately after the result is returned. We retain an image for at most 24 hours only for debugging and abuse prevention, after which it is permanently purged. We do not maintain a permanent library of your photos on our servers.
2.2 Device Identifier
We generate an anonymous, random device identifier stored locally on your device (not linked to your identity or Apple ID). It is used only to meter your AI usage quota. We do not use it to track you across apps or services.
2.3 Purchase Data
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive only entitlement status (for example, whether you are an active subscriber) via our subscription management provider, RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your payment card details.
2.4 Analytics (optional)
If we enable analytics or advertising identifiers, we will request your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt and will collect such data only with your consent.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide and improve the AI image features.
- Enforce usage quotas and prevent abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
- Apple Inc. — payment processing and entitlement verification.
- RevenueCat, Inc. — subscription status management.
- fal.ai — AI image processing. It hosts the models used for each feature (for example, BiRefNet for background removal, Real-ESRGAN for enhancement, CodeFormer for restoration, and Stable Diffusion for object removal).
- Supabase, Inc. — secure storage of anonymous quota and usage records.
Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and applicable terms.
5. Data Retention
- Uploaded images: deleted immediately after processing; maximum 24-hour retention for debugging, then purged.
- Device identifier and quota records: retained while you actively use the App; you may request deletion (Section 8).
6. Your Rights (GDPR / UK GDPR / applicable law)
If you are in the EU/EEA/UK or another jurisdiction with similar protections, you have the right to access, rectify, export, and erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. 7. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
